An invalid address is not a blocker in our system. Our platform uses an address‑validation service that relies on the USPS database. When you begin entering an address, the system first identifies the ZIP code, then provides the cities that correspond to that ZIP code. After selecting the city, you can enter the street address.
If the address is valid, the system will suggest a match. It will not provide suggestions if the address is invalid or if the address is copied and pasted into the field. An invalid address does not prevent you from moving forward because there are situations in which either the validation service or the USPS database may not be up to date. Additionally, some users have multiple units or lots that may not appear in the database.
While the system performs best with validated addresses—and an invalid address cannot be imported into the Property section—we allow flexibility and do not block a quote due to an invalid address.
