Effective Date Change at Renewal
print icon

In accordance to our Underwriting guidelines, the system will not allow a user to change the policy effective date at Renewal. This type of change would require a cancel / rewrite:

1. - If the policy has not yet renewed, then Renew the policy with the current dates (i.e. 12/1/2022-12/1/2023).

    - If the policy has already expired or if it's already cancelled, then proceed to step 3 to complete a rewrite.

2. Once the renewal transaction is complete, immediately cancel that renewal term and select Policy Rewritten as the cancel reason.

3. Create the rewrite transaction by selecting the Rewrite button.

4. In the rewrite module you will be immediately prompted for an effective date, enter the new dates (i.e. 12/2/2022 - 12/2/2023) and complete the transaction.
