API FAQ

  • 1. Is there an API endpoint to identify what questions are asked for each class/state and/or other rules?
    • Currently, the primary Appetite API is designed to return quotes based on the input data you provide, but it doesn't have a dedicated endpoint to list all underwriting questions or rules upfront.

  • 2. Do you have a suggested mapping to the NAICS classification from the classes exposed via the Appetite API?
    • We do not have a formal, suggested one-to-one mapping available for NAICS. The classes in the Appetite API are proprietary and aligned with our underwriting model.
    • However, we can provide you with the full list of our internal class codes, along with a more descriptive summary for each, which should aid your team in creating a suitable mapping on your end. https://appetite.ategrity.com/

  • 3. Are all quotes generated from the API non-bindable?
    • Yes, you are correct. All quotes generated directly from the API should be treated as a quote indication.
    • The "Continue to Full Quote" link you observed on the Agent Portal is the necessary next step. It triggers the full underwriting process, which may involve additional questions and validation to generate a final, bindable quote.
